Unthinkable - Alicia Keys

I know I blogged about this video before. Right now it has more meaning though. I’ve told my parents everything in hopes that it would make my life better and keep me at peace. Yet the hatred in their heart still lives. Sad thing is they don’t even know that it is. & now I’m conflicted about how I feel about respecting them.

Who said that being honest will make you a better person. Well I don’t know about the whole better person part but it comes with consequences that a liar usually evades. I’m the stupid girl that chose to be honest for once in her life and naively believed that my honesty might solve things. It just made things fester. & I still betray them. Not by my words. Through the elevated feelings I have. The blood flowing through the deepest corners of my heart. The blood they think is tainted. The blood I find to be christened. But perspective. It changes everything.

Now I shall write a letter with my broken thumb.

With this one I’ve always been a fan of pain. I don’t seem to mind it at all. Surprisingly.
