Sure Thing by Miguel
I know I shouldn’t and if I do then I will cause trouble again.
I know I should not play this sport.
I never score. Always making rebounds.
They always aim for a home run.
But I always given them second base. Third sometimes. Well one time.
But they’re playing the wrong game.
& they don’t know that I can be a player too.
But I just play the other game.
Street ball where I can fall and feel the concrete.
Ain’t no grass stains. Just blood. & band-aids.
& I like this game. That’s why I play it.
Running past the golden apples.
